Confirmations in the Traditional Rite

Bishop John Sherrington, Auxiliary Bishop of Westminster, conferred the Sacrament of Confirmation in the Traditional Rite in the splendid setting of St James’, Spanish Place on Saturday. 21 people (both adults and children) received the sacrament, which was followed by Pontifical Benediction.

After the service, the bishop joined the candidates, their families and friends, in the parish centre to share in a celebratory cake.

Weekly Sunday Mass in Bradford

As reported earlier this year, Sunday (11th September) was the start of a regular Sunday Mass in the Extraordinary Form in the centre of Bradford.

Bishop Marcus Stock, Bishop of Leeds, kindly agreed to a request for a permanent home for the Latin Mass within his diocese. He nominated St Joseph’s Church, Pakington Street, Bradford BD5 7LD as that home.

It is envisaged that there will be at least two sung Sunday Masses per month, when this is not possible, it will be a Low Mass.
